Hazel studied Statistics at the University of Aberdeen, before starting work as a Statistician supporting scientific research, clinical trials then demography. After a move to the local authority sector she became more involved in IT support and managed a team covering desktop support, mid-range systems and networking.
On joining the health service in 2002, Hazel implemented the national Paediatric Video Conferencing Network, providing remote diagnostic support for babies born with suspected congenital heart defects. Hazel also worked within NHS GGC’s Surgery and Anaesthetics Directorate as a Planning Manager. Since joining the SCTT in 2011, Hazel has project managed the development of the National Video Conferencing Network.
Now supporting the Technology Enabled Care Programme, Hazel is supporting low cost Video Conferencing solutions and implementing a platform to provide web based video consulting directly into the citizen’s home.
